Life Lately – Double Dates, Outfits, Events and a Girly Weekend

This last week has been super busy with loads of events and new releases so when I popped off on a girly weekend with my momma this past weekend it was a seriously needed break. I stayed on social media but took some time off from blogging and enjoyed an amazing shopping and sangria filled weekend, Just what every girly duo needs. Sadly we’re home and back to reality which isn’t ideal but I’m really looking forward to getting back on the blogging train. Instead of having a pile of blogs to do I decided to combine them all and create one of my favourite style of posts – Life Lately. Expect many many photos so sit back with a drink and enjoy!!

Saturday Night Dinner OOTD

The Saturday before last myself and the boy ventured out on our first double date (only took us 4 years!!) with one of my girlfriends and her boyfriends and had one hell of a fun night, and one hangover the next morning. It was so much fun to head out and act like proper adults. I kept my outfit simple but classy as we were heading to a very relaxed restaurant and then out for cocktails. As I went shopping with mum that morning I just had to wear some of my new buys

Gilet – French Connection

Top – River Island

Cardigan – Forever 21

Leggings – Vila

Clutch – Givenchy

Boots – Office

Necklace – Zara

New From P&G plus Outfit Time

Last week was beyond hectic but loads of fun. With a million events, some incredible meetings and prepping for a weekend away I was on my toes but loving every minute of it.

First up was the launch of the new P&G beauty goodies to come. P&G oversee some amazing brands like Maxfactor, Aussie, Herbal Essence and loads more. I headed along with the lovely Laura from All Made Up 21 and it was fab to catch up over cocktails and make up.

Obsessing over these amazing new MaxFactor Blushes which are incredible dupes for the Hourglass ambient light blushes which I love but my bank account doesn’t.

Then I had an incredible opportunity to meet and talk with top hair colourist Stuart Ross from Vidal Sassoon who talked us through the newest at home hair kits which are off salon standards. He also told me he loved my at home balayage which was fab!!

Then I spied on the new hair must haves from Aussie, Herbal Essence, Slivikrin, Head and Shoulders and Pantene.

The lovely Laura got a beautiful blow-dry using the incredible Pantene BB Cream. Definitely on my bucket list once I find a way to decrease my current enormous hair product addiction.

Also had to nab a quick mirror Outfit Of The Day!!!

Jacket – Zara

Blazer – Zara (Last season – Similar)

Top – River Island

Leggings – River Island

Necklace – Chanel

Boots – Gap

We were also treated to a fab goodie bag with loads of Aussie, Herbal Essence and MaxFactor goodies. I’ve been using my blusher like crazy! Its fab. Cant wait to do a full blog post on it!

Meeting YSL Make Up Masters

Next up was probably my favourite event I have ever been invited to. I was lucky enough to meet Fred Letailleau the European Make Up Master for YSL Beauty. I attended the event with a few other beauty bloggers, editors and pr gals in a small group to learn all about the new releases as well as the look created for the beautiful Cara Delevingne for the new YSL beauty campaign.

The beautiful Louis from Strawberry Topics was lucky enough to have the chance for a make over by Fred and god did she look fab!! The new products are incredible and seriously needed in my make up stash.

I also got the chance to sneak a little selfie with Fred who was such a lovely and one I wish I had time to pick every bit of beauty knowledge out of!

 New From REN!

After setting up my office in a lovely bar around the corner from Brown Thomas and working for a few hours, I was off to yet another event. This one was for REN skincare, a brand I know and love. They were celebrating 15 years in business as well as the launch of an amazing new must have product, it was also a chance to get a look into House on Lesson Street which is gorgeous and definitely the perfect place for a night out with friends or your significant other.

Beauty Shot is an incredible new innovative product that promises to blast wrinkles and those little lines we all hate in a matter of minutes. It is also recommended to give you a celebrity glow on when you step of a plane – tried it and I’d like to think it worked. Also its 100% organic.

I’ll be doing a full post on this baby as its far to much information to pop into a simple little paragraph.

It was also a fab chance to catch up with my blogger girls and snap a few selfies of course!! The beautiful Sarah and I just couldn’t help ourselves.

Holiday Time!

Then after a morning of meetings, and a lot of packing it was time for my HOLIDAY! Mum and I try and pop off for a weekend of girly antics at least once a year and de-stress over wine and shopping and have a proper catch up. You’d think as an only child we wouldn’t have anything to catch up on but with the blog, her working 12 hours and the rest a day as well as me and the boy having our time these holidays are needed.

Once we managed to lug all of our luggage off the carousel at Malaga Airport it was time to hit the city and explore a place we have never been.

First stop had to be for Sangria and Tapas, well that was our intention but we got slightly distracted by the shops- this is the negative to having a hotel on the main shopping street.

We pottered along to a Malaga Institution El Pimpi after a recommendation on my Instagram picture. It was an amazing restaurant and after a slight bit of confusion where we were plopped into an empty room for dinner we set up shop in the patio and ate to our hearts content.

Our meal was beyond incredible and it was one of those situations where we were full but didn’t want to leave.

We decided to glam up for dinner in some of our new goodies we bought and we had a fab girly day!

It was so super chilly so my furry scarf was the best accessory I brought with me!

Coat – Part Two

Scarf – Charlotte Simone

Top – All Saints (Similar )

Jacket – Mango (actually a dress but I’m loving it as a blazer)

Leggings – River Island

Boots – Office

Bag – Givenchy

It was also incredible to have a roam around Malaga in the dark on the way back to the hotel – and of course admire the Christmas decorations still up!!!, and of course have the opportunity to take a few selfies.

(Please excuse my brows!!! Appointment is this weekend! )

Saturday wasn’t as full of shopping as expected (Scratch that we didn’t actually buy a thing!!!) and instead it was spent exploring the city and enjoying everything Malaga has to offer, plus sangria!!

Can you believe this big boy only cost €2.80! I hate coming hope to Irish prices post vay cay.

That night we popped into a beautiful cocktail bar where mom introduced me to some fab gin cocktails – her goal is to make me enjoy gin!-  and then on again to Bar Pimpi. It was so nice the night before we just had to go for it again.

We tried some of the amazing dishes Pimpi had to offer including Pate and the famous Pizza Pimpi and finished off with some beautiful chocolates complements of the waiters.

We started off Sunday not expecting anything at all. As frequent visitors of Spain, and especially villages further up the coast from Malage we know all to well just how much Spain fully shuts down to accommodate the catholic day that is Sunday! We had such little expectation that there was even talk about booking a flight home.

That was until we stumbled upon a shop and lets just say did a little bit of retail therapy, the day continued on a high from there by walking around the town, visiting some incredible land marks and of course popping our self down for some lunch. It was also a beautiful sunny day – even got a little sunburn!

Also couldn’t help but include this missmo too!

Momma has also near mastered the OOTD photo taking!! Had to take a photo of her and her funky red shoes too!! She’s gonna kill me!:)

The evening continued on as the day did with a return to our cocktail bar from the night before (we really are creatures of habit! This time mom got her wish, I ordered Gin and I loved it!

We decided we couldn’t go to El Pimpi again, so we came across a beautiful tapas restaurant and popped ourself down for more ham and Patas Bravas / Aioli

After lots of giggles, but not as much shopping as hoped, our holiday had come to an end. We are now already planning the next!

This last week and a half has been so much fun! Hope you survived this insanely photo filled post and enjoyed this little look into my adventures recently.
