Hello Good Hair.....It's Nice To See You!!!

Hair and hair products seem to be my absolute current obsession. I just can’t go out shopping without picking up some lotions and potions for my hair. This is also making my upcoming holiday packing a nightmare as I genuinely think I may need an individual suitcase for hair and beauty products!

I have always adored my hair products, and if you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, then you will know just how much I cherish my hair. So when an amazing package from John Freida popped through my door I hopped and squealed like a little puppy. Nothing beats some new hair treats.

I have always loved John Freida products but had never had the chance to try the volume range

Or 3 day straight / 7 day Volume. I tried each of these separately to make sure the benefit of one didn’t help or harm the benefits of the other.

First up-

Luxurious Volume Shampoo & Conditioner * ( €8 each)

Honestly I really wasn’t expecting much. There is only so much a shampoo and conditioner can give your hair as in my opinion products and styling tools really give the most lift. Well am I wrong!

As usual, I washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner, and the only ‘styling’ product I used was my wow colour speed dry, to help speed up the drying process ~~as I’m a lazy b***h!~~

As I dried my hair at night and then pottered off to the land of nod I didn’t really see any of the benefits until the next morning! Well was my hair big! I did nothing more than run my heat barrel brush to create a few mini curls and off I went to work, and a post work event. My hair stayed perfectly intact and I was seriously impressed!!!!

(Seriously impressed, kept my hair volumised but only for the first 2 days, and then day 3 hair set in!)

Next Up –

7 Day Volume * (€13.50)

Honestly I had some serious high hopes for this product and while it really was good it just didn’t reach my idea of what it would be. When you think 7 day volume I saw myself as having Jessica Simpson hair for days!! Now I’ll be honest, I think a bit of it not working may have been my fault as it would seem that I sprayed a large amount in one section near my crown (even tho I brushed it through) and not enough under my top layer, so I had a bit of lift on top, a bit pulled down since I pumped a good bit in one spot and then not much underneath. I’m going to give this a second try and fingers crossed I get it perfect this time!

(Volumised at the bottom but flat on top! Bit half & half!)

3 Day Straight * (€9.50)

Now I initially didn’t have much hope for this purely because it mentioned you had to straighten your hair after you applied it – me thinking oh thats just going to straighten your hair this product wont do much WELL I WAS WRONG!!! I’m very lucky to have mostly straight hair so really wasn’t expecting miracles….well this baby is a magic product and I’m urging you all to stop reading this and run out straight away and buy it. I actually refused to not wash my hair until day 4 as it was so perfectly straight. I was so so so impressed! My hair was 60% straight on day 4 which is more to be said about it right now and I only straightened it this morning with nothing else. It’s really an amazing product and every girl should try it.
