Face of the Day; My Daily Make Up Must Haves.

So I’ve never done a face of the day, or a make up must haves before,  but I decided it was about time to branch more into the make up/beauty blogging, and what better time to do it than with my make up.

I decided to show you guys my absolute make up essentials. These are the products I use religiously. Usually to turn the look into a more evening friendly style, I will add a darker shadow and bigger lashes.

I am one of those people who is a religious moisturiser  , I really don’t know you can ever have enough. A few months ago I moved to Garnier Youthful Radiance mouristeriser, I would NEVER recommend this product to anyone. Im really touch and go with all Garnier goods but I had weened out the ones that broke me out, this did so much worse. Along with a few , not many but still noticeable, new spots on my face , my skin became more and more dry. This came to a head on Wednesday when I woke up and my whole face felt like I had never mouristerised before in my life.

A quick trip to boots and the convenient use of my boots points resulted in a new L’oreal make up remover and gel based mouristeriser. The L’oreal Triple Action is a lifesaver. Although its only been 2 days my face feels so insanely mouristerised. Watch this space, I plan on doing a one month review on it. I would advise gel based creams, they are amazing. Iv had my heart set on the Chanel Hydro-Active gel…. but parting with 60euro for a face cream just doesn’t seem logical to me.

Once my mouristeriser is over I get started on my face;

Garnier Youthful Caffeine Eye Roll on

Now I know I may have slightly just slated Garnier above but seriously there roll-ons are AMAZING. This is my go too product after a night out, especially when I’m hungover. It will automatically de-puff your eyes and make you feel as perfect as anything,

Garnier Caffeine 2 in 1 anti – dark circles Roll On

Like the one above, this is definitely part of my daily essentials. I unfortunately have been cursed with a family trait of a missing enzyme in my liver resulting in the most unsightly dark circles under my eyes. I permanently look beaten up. This however does the trick. I usually use this after I’v applied my foundation . Now I haven’t noticed a definite change in the colour of my under-eyes but it works wonders when I have my make-up on.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC30

This has been my ultimate MAC repurchase for the last 2 years. It has an amazing coverage to it so it lasts forever. I’m usually quite tanned so the NC30 fits me perfectly! My only fault against it is that is can come out quite cake-y. I will always pat my face down with a clean sponge after I’v applied it just to gather up an excess. Sometimes if it does come out insanely heavily I will switch to my #2 go to in

MAC Face and Body.

MAC Studio Finish Concealer

I got this when I was recently in America, I use it at least everyday day if not twice and it STILL looks brand new. It is by far one of the best uses of my money in MAC. The coverage is beyond amazing. It covers my dark circles under my eyes perfectly, and doesn’t fade during the day. Best Mac Concealer going.

Urban Decay Naked Palette.

This is my constant go to for any day or night look. I have the naked 2 as well but this just suits my colouring a lot better. For my daily look ill do Naked all over my lid- I think its obvious from above just how much I use it ,then contour my crease with Buck and highlight with Virgin. Sometimes I’ll add Sidecar to my crease for a glam day look. This is definitely money well spent. I got it nearly 2 years ago and it’s still perfect, well nearly!!!

Mac – Whisper if Glilt.

This is a recent purchase. I got it from a new collection, I’m not sure if it’s still available though. It’s the most amazing gold based highlighting powder. I always put it on my cheek bones and to highlight the bridge of my nose and lips. If you can, I urge you all to buy it, you won’t regret it.

Nars Laguna and Orgasm

Last Christmas I got a Nars giftself on Asos, it included an orgasm lipgloss and this amazing duo all for 30 euro!!!! I didn’t even think this would last me so long but it has! I have been an avid Orgasm user and if you google it at all you will read hundreds of people telling you just how amazing it is! If you haven’t tried it please do! The same is said for the Laguna bronzer. It’s not to dark and not too light it’s just perfect.

Mac Plush Lash Mascara in Brunette

I bought this on my way home from Charleston this summer in Newark Duty Free. I didn’t look at the box when I purchased it , it wasn’t until I decided to have an impromptu make up application on the plane that I realised she didn’t give me my black mascara but instead gave me the brown version. This seriously annoyed me and I blacklisted my mascara for about a month until one day when I had nothing else. Giving in and ignore my hatred of it I decided it was my only option. By the time I had finished applying it I was in love. It is one of the most amazing , maximising mascaras iv ever purchased. I will definitely be making a repurchase of this, but perhaps this time in the black.

MAC Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Black.

Now I’m one of those people that HATES spending money on those makeup products that are easily dupped. Case in point- Eyeliner. This was an emergency purchase / a wee bit of a treat, when I discovered I had left my eyeliner at home while I was 4,000 miles away in America. Realising this while in a MAC store could only and did result in one thing- Buying it!! And it was one of the best purchases made. It’s so creamy and easily apply-able yet never smudges. It’s so dark and pigmented as well it’s definitely a statement piece.

Avon Eyebrow Pencil in Brown

This was actually a free gift in a fashion show goodie bag. It hasn’t left my side since. It’s my daily go to to fill in my brows and define their colour. Although it’s a few shade to light it works perfectly. I had never considered Avon as an option for makeup , purly because I hate ordering items from a catalogue without trying them out. But this will definitely be bought again, that’s if it ever finished, it’s like the never ending eyebrow pencil. It’s so big!

Victoria Secrets Pro Flawless Fix Translucent Powder

During the summer I heard a lot of people mention setting powders and I had always been curious to try them. Given I didn’t want to spend the money in MAC with our trying it , and couldn’t find any on the high street I decided to give up my search. That was until I stumbled upon this little one in a Victoria Secrets shopping spree this summer. It’s well priced, don’t ask I can’t remember, and in such adorable packaging. I will admit I didn’t have amazing high hopes for it given it came out of an underwear store but I was proven wrong. I use it almost all the time and my make up never moves. It’s a god-send. If your bear a VS go get yourself one NOW!!

Hope you guys enjoyed my make up just haves. Do you own any of these products at all? What do you think of them??
