God knows what was going through her head but The Fashionista Observer herself has asked me to post on her new weekly “Man Monday”. I suppose this makes me Mr. Fashionista Observer??
MOJO are an English hair styling brand that were set up in 2014 by Paul Adrian after realising that none of the products on the market catered for him “in terms of its performance and fragrance, the overall look and feel, and most of all, the intangible style.”
Roisin was kindly sent the Mojo Hair Clay for me to try out in my first Man Monday Post. I was really excited to give this product a go in the hopes that it finally ends my search to tame my mane!
I’m always on the lookout for new hair gels, clays or wax to try out as I’ve never really found one that I truly love or able to keep my hair under proper control for the whole day! I was really impressed with Mojo Hair Clay and even after a few uses I can say it’s one of my favourites!
The first thing that grabs you is the packaging, the retro stylish design of gold and black really catches your eye and would really stand out in a shopping aisle, along with the heavy glass jar you know you have a luxury, premium product in your hands.
The scent of the Mojo Hair Clay is one of my favourite features. It leaves your hair with an amazing woody fragrance, with hints of Grapefruit, Coriander and Basil. This means there is no need for the usual cover up with cologne like many other clays and waxes!
The clay itself is soft in the pot unlike many other clays on the market, which are normally really firm and tough to get out! I also found it really easy to mould leaving you with a natural matte finish and doesn’t leave your hands very sticky afterwards either. My favourite thing about the MOJO Hair Clay was it’s strong all day hold. It kept my hair in place for the day unlike my usual end of the day look of going through a mini hurricane.
At €20 for the pot, it is more expensive than the usual hair clay I would normally go for, but that being said it is double the size of the usual clay I would pick up for €10. While it may seem like a lot more, you are definitely getting more bang for your buck in terms of both quality and quantity. I would definitely recommend it to any guy out there looking for a new hair product!
Hope you guys liked my first blog post, hopefully I’ll be back next Monday with more manly favourites, thats if Roisin will ever let me back on!
