Summer is nearly here, so its time to look back at some of my essentials over the last few months!
I made it a mission to always have a monthly favourite up on the blog – well… that didn’t happen. As many of you know I started a new job in January and have been so super busy since I started and honestly not only have I been seriously slacking on the blog, I have also not had a chance to really try out many new products and have a chance to really get a collection of monthly favourites together.
From the few little bits I have had the chance to play and fall in love with these last few weeks I wanted to put together a Spring Favourites post with all of the bits I am loving at the moment.
The Warm Neutrals Palette and I got off to a rocky start. I liked it, then it fell a little meh with me! Lately however I have been reaching for it more and more for a classic daytime look and also an evening smoky eye.
I was super lucky to receive this beauty at the launch last month and I am in love. I loved, and still do love, powder bronzers but wanted to really give the cream contouring a proper shot and I can’t get enough. With a little practice, I am loving the effects the cream contouring gives and it is especially good when using it on the nose and forehead. I am going to have a full post on all of my cream contouring tips in the next week.
Body Blur is my new night out essential. It works just like similar body make up products by blurring out imperfections but without making you look totally one dimensional. It is a necessity to any night out and I cannot stop using it!
VS Pro – Translucent Powder
I have become obsessed with baking. The makeup trick to ensure Instagram worthy skin, has become an essential step in my routine. I found a Victoria Secrets Translucent powder in my makeup collection, that is now discontinued and possibly a little too old to be using. I love how baking can give you such a flawless complexion and the perfect canvas for selfies.
I found it so hard to get a good cleaners to go with my Clairsonic, give a good clean and also not break me out. Lancome Gel Eclat has ticked all of those boxes! A little on the pricey side, a little goes a long way and takes ever scrap of mascara off without any horrible residue. Definitely a skincare must have.
I have lost count of how many times I have featured my love, Lancome Hydra Intense. A leave in face mask, my skin wouldn’t be what it is without this beauty in my collection. If you are suffering from dry skin that needs and oomph – you need to invest.
I’ve spoken about this beautiful Matte primer before, and while I love its mattifying effects for the summer months, I have really fallen for this product when using it with my Nars Sheer Glow. I love Sheer Glow but never found it stayed on the skin for any length, but when I use the two together I absolutely adore its longevity.
This beauty has been an essential highlighter ever since I picked it up for Christmas. I have a full review here – and it is still just as much of an obsession of mine. The pop of highlight is so beautiful, and not surprising at all that it has been made part of the permanent collection.
I’ve been using the gorgeous Ultra Bond Strip Lash Glue since I was kindly sent a tube as part of the #UltraBondChallenge nearly 2 years ago, don’t worry I have repurchased tubes since. I can’t be without this beauty to help my lash obsession stay perfectly in place!
Hope you enjoyed finally reading a favourites on the blog. It has been quite a while! I’ll make sure to have a very in-detailed post up next month!
