The 2017 trial month is finally over and I couldn’t be happier. January was a busy month here in T.F.O HQ as well as with my own day job, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t get a chance to check out some new beauty buys. Here are the products I haven’t been able to put down this month.
From hair, to skincare and of course make up, the first monthly favourites of 2017 features mostly new products that haven’t been on the blog before. A mixture of press gifts, Christmas presents and of course some from me to me presents, I’ve had so much fun playing with some new goodies and can’t wait to share them all with you.
Hair
Hands down my favourite topic to talk about, this month I am trying out a few new hair care goodies, and of course my holy grail LanaiBlo.
No hair post is complete any more without a mention to the LanaiBlo. I can already guarantee that 99% of you reading this have heard, if not own and love, about the LanaiBlo. The best hair tool release in 2016 in my opinion, the LanaiBlo is changing the game for at home hair care, and has even taken over as the must have in some salons. As you all know I have naturally thick hair that will take me a lifetime to blowdry with a crappy dryer. Thanks to the LanaiBlo my hair is bone dry in 5 MINS! If you wanna read more check out my hair care post I wrote at the end of last year!
Kevin Murphy Shampoo & Conditioner
My love of hair care is quickly spreading in my house and these beauties were an impulse buy from my lovely mum while she was getting a blow dry. To say she loves Kevin Murphy is an understatement, so much so I’m beginning to wonder is she working for them on the side. As I had only every experienced a Kevin Murphy blow-dry, and even at her persistence don’t have time for a mommy daughter blow dry date to get another one, she brought the Kevin Murphy to me. The Young Again Wash and Hydrate Me Rinse is a fab combination for my hair. I adore not only the finish it leaves on my tresses but also the incredible smell. It is divine.
Philip Kingsley PK Prep Perfecting Spray
I have wanted to try Philip Kingsley products for so long but couldn’t justify the price of some of them, so the lovely boy of mine got me a giant hair care kit of some of the brands best products, including the new range PK Prep. I am loving this perfecting spray for a pre blow dry spritz. Described as a multi-tasking blow dry spray that will smooth your locks and provide heat protection. As I’m in need of a good trim my locks are unruly to say the least so this is really taming them down.
Make Up
With an unholy collection of makeup that sometimes makes me wonder should I open up a store, these are the 4 products I couldn’t, and wouldn’t, put down this month.
Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder
I couldn’t tell you when I picked this up but it was a holy grail…..until I forgot about it. I found it deep within a drawer late last year and the love for it is well and truly reborn. If you are looking for a translucent finishing powder that gives you a beautiful glow than this one is for you.
Can you believe this is my first make up product from Inglot? Nope me neither! Some how I have gone this long without purchasing a single make up item bar one nail varnish and my beloved Duraline. I love the looks some of my favourite instagram girls create using Inglot and I am obsessed with the beautiful Jane’s snapchats, how have I not picked up something sooner. Yet again himself stepped in and with a little guidance, a text or two!, he picked me up these for fab shadows that I am LOVING. They are 329,299,300,609.
Nars All Day Luminous Foundation in Punjab
I picked up this foundation in November and I have loved it ever since. Although it can slightly oxidise on the skin, which caused havoc as I originally purchased a shade darker than this, it is a beautiful finished foundation that really does stay All Day.
This Bronzer!! If you have yet to get your hand’s on Benefit’s Hoola bronzer I demand you stop what you are doing RIGHT NOW and get one asap. Either tanned or pale, this concealer works perfectly on my skin. I’ve yet to find one that matches it.
Oooooh some pieces I’d love to try the serum and the St Moritz tanning gel xx siobhan
