Summer Wardrobe Sorted Thanks To River Island

Last week I was lucky enough to attend the River Island Spring Summer Press Day…..

I am now not so patiently waiting for everything to come into store so I can buy it all. From block colours, to fabulous prints and an array of white and beige that made my heart flutter – River Island has Spring Summer Fashion nailed! 

Here is whats in store for SS16! 

All About The Beige

I don’t care if people call it boring or meh – give me all the beige and white clothes and give them too me now!! When I walked into the preview, among all of the colour and prints, I was automatically pulled to the wonderful sand and summer toned rail where my wardrobe of dreams hung – no I’m not being dramatic – THIS WAS THE RAIL OF DREAMS! 

Lace and faux-suede filled the racks of coats, layers and some beautiful dresses. 

From Tasseled jackets to the most wonderful Longline flowing blazers with some beautiful white skirts and the most incredible White lace dress that I stupidly spent too much time gawking over to actually take a picture. This is by far my favourite collection of River Island pieces. 

All About The Co-Ords

Throughout all of the trends I saw – The Co-Ord was a main feature! From the incredible array of denim pieces, Spanish influenced patterns and flamenco ruffles, 70’s style dresses and pants or the style of utility dressing – the co-ord is definitely here for another season. Here are just a few I fell for.. 

From Navy & White pin stripped, to Caramel Brown leather and eccentric Pink Floral – these co-ords will definitely style up your summer wardrobe. 

My favourites definitely have to be the White and Black wrap  top and trousers, the Red and White wrap top and culottes and the beautiful 70’s inspired crop top and flares. 

I definitely plan on picking up this red and white beauty when it hits stores! How perfect would it be roaming around in Spain with a cocktail in hand! 

All About the Denim

I don’t think I will ever see a time when Denim is no longer in trend. Every person relies on at least one item of denim in their wardrobes that they cannot live without! River Island has your denim needs covered! 

From the most incredible flared dungarees to amazing white linen shirts to go with the beautiful denim skirts. Its just a dream of denim for Spring Summer. 

All About Beachwear 

River Island is always one of my go to’s when it comes to stocking up for my holidays. They always have incredible bikinis, swimsuits and cover up’s. 

Now I’m not gonna lie, I’ve never really been a fan of their Pacha collections – the beach to club style really just isn’t me. So when the girls mentioned they were stepping away from that and bringing in a more classy and almost fancy fabulous collection I was beyond excited. Beautiful coverups and some incredible dresses make up the perfect collection that would work in both a beach and a restaurant setting! Perfect for dinner and cocktails to finish off a day of tanning. 

All About Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!! 

Like always, River Island knows good shoes and Spring Summer 2016 definitely has some beauties coming to store soon.

From the most incredible pair of nude patent boots, to some beach wedge must haves – I will definitely be updating my shoe collection with a few of these beauties.

How incredible are those orange espadrilles? I cannot wait to nab these and pair with a simple white dress for my holidays. Perfect! 

Let not forget about the babies and the boys…

Like always River Island has not disappointed when it comes to both the kiddies clothes and whats to come for men in SS! 

First off – the boys. 

I have a serious guilty pleasure – its shopping for my boyfriend. I absolutely love going shopping with him and over the years he’s come to enjoy it as well! I love whats in stores for me at the moment. Personally I don’t think men have ever been so well dress or put so much effort into their clothes or shoes. Its really nice to see. 

Some lovely T-Shirts, Shirts and Jumpers coming to River Island in the coming weeks. I will definitely be bringing himself in as soon as these pieces start hitting the shelves. 

The Baba’s 

River Island baba clothes are just – AMAZING! I love looking at all the fab jackets, furry fillets and shoes they have in store. Don’t worry – no hope in a baby being inside me for a good few years, but I have contemplated getting a cute jacket for the dog! 

How amazing is this adorable little jacket!!! Wish it came in my size! 

River Island Spring Summer preview even sparked some summer romance’s 😉 

I really  and truly looked the look of whats to come this summer.
