Out On The Town and On To Brunch

So sorry for the lack of posts this week. Back in 9-5 job so there has been a) very little time to blog and b) very little to blog about, unless you guys find the color coordination of my highlighters and filing system techniques blog material….I can pretty much assume you don’t.

So I thought a week later was time to post a new blog, and also to celebrate FINALLY passing 100 followers. Thank you soo soo much to each and everyone of you for clicking that little follow button, and if your reading this and haven’t done it its right there –> 😉

It really means so much to me, It just makes me want to blog more and more knowing people are interested. Heres to the next hundred and many many more (hopefully)

Anyway now that I’m over with the thank you’s ill get on with this blog. So last night my self and the boyfriend headed out with some friends to celebrate his last weekend before starting his first proper job after graduating. I’m so unbelievably proud of him so we decided to celebrate with drinks and friends.

We headed out to Dakota on South William Street. If any of you are ever in dublin I would STRONGLY recommend checking this place out. It is a very very regular stop for me during the day for lunch or drinks outside watching the world go by. Iv never been there before in the night and I’ve heard it is amazing so it was about time to see it for myself. We got there for 8 and it was already packed, but still it was incredible. Its such a chilled laid back bar with amazing music and to top it off €5 cocktails all the time. Its amazing. Its all dark wood, brown leather sofas, and florence lights. Its pretty incredible.

I decided to stay pretty casual for it but yet dressy, every opportunity i have is an opportunity to wear heels.

Blazer- H&M

Scarf- Topshop

Top- Hollister

Tank – H&M

Leather Leggings – H&M

Bag- Zara

Shoes – Topshop

And of course i had to use my trusty Naked Palettes as well… never leave home without them. Best buys EVER.

I seriously used to hate leather leggings but now they have fast become my absolute go to for a night out. They also are seriously amazing if there is a more than likely tan mishap. I suggest every girl own a pair of these. They are also amazing in the winter for going out clubbing or dinner.

So while in dakota I did as every good blogger would and got a bit snap-happy. I think its fairly obvious to tell from the photos just how pretty dakota is. The lighting was really dim so not exactly photo friendly.

Not only is Dakota amazing, the cocktails are as well. Theres nothing better then ordering a Woo Woo while tipsy, sounds fun and tastes just as amazing.

I think its pretty obvious from the picture above that I was seriously enjoying my Woo Woo…. Drunk eyes are making a appearance as well.

So not only was I having fun so was himself. Finally he has made an appearance on my blog. He can now see his lil’ face on here next time he’s scoping it out for reading material 😉 loving the cheesy smiles on us as well. They are more than likely the result of a good few cocktails and a camera being produced.

So after many cocktails and beers it was time to head home, sadly, but thats not where my blog ends…

So this morning in our post night out / hungover depression we decided to pop into town to do a few errands and have some very late breakfast / Lunch.

Of course as the amazing blogger that I am i took this opportunity to make it a blogging subject, and there was an outfit of the day thrown in.

Cardigan – All Saints

Tank Tops- Both H&M

Bag- Zara

Jeans – American Eagle

Sandals – Hollister

So for this little adventure we headed back to yet again another regular haunt of ours in The Bailey. This is one of those bars/restaurants that is a regular for the people of Dublin, and I actually heard about it from my mom as one of her usual spots. Its safe to say it was one of the best suggestions she has ever given me.

Its so stylish and modern inside and has an amazing outdoor area, which sadly was full.

To make them even more appealing there food is beyond incredible, and seriously well priced. Although its not obvious there menu is mainly built up of tapas and spanish inspired foods so they suited the two of us perfectly.

I had their signature ‘Cristal’ bread which is a thin toasted ciabatta  bread served with a garlic tomato and black olive pesto. I also ordered my favorite tapas dish of ham croquettes. They are incredibly creamy and not overly breaded. They are just perfect.

So next time your roaming the streets of Dublin in need of some good drinks and food make sure to pop into The Bailey for lunch and then pop over Grafton Street to Dakota for drinks and dinner. You will thank me when you have!
